 Walker Bros. is extremely committed to supporting in communities that surround each one of our locations.
Our programs are designed help
build confidence and self esteem in the children of the local communities.
We have developed 2 programs specifically to reward kids for positive
behavior with coupons to our locations.
The first program has been
implemented in over 20 local schools and is custom made to support programs
that the schools have in place or we work with the schools to design new
programs. Some of the programs that the local schools and Walker Bros.
developed this year were "I caught you doing something Great!," "Hooray for
Reading" and "We're Proud of You." These coupons are distributed by the
educators and are available as they need them.
The second program is designed to
make children who participate in sports feel special just for playing the
game. We distribute a custom made "Good Sportsmanship Award" to local
leagues and Park Districts throughout the Chicagoland area. The only
requirement we have is to make sure that the coaches distribute this award
to each player one time throughout the season. It is for Good Sportsmanship
and not performance based.
We believe that we can help
children grow into more well adjusted adults if we work within the local
communities to help them build their self esteem and confidence.
